Produced by the action-meister Jerry Bruckheimer for Disney, G-Force has all the foolish and irresponsible accusation of typical movie stunts (National Treasure, Bad Boys, etc), but have been revised downward to be more child friendly. The installation includes a scientist (Zach Galifianakis), which has spent the grant money from the Department of Homeland Security Training animals in a unit of elite SOF. The trio of guinea pigs, which form the heart crew is composed by the leader, Darwin (voice of Sam Rockwell), the loving but difficult to Juárez (Penelope Cruz), and the Blaster brave crazy (a perfect cast Tracy Morgan). All work closely with three spots a mole called Whiz technology (voice of Nicolas Cage regular Bruckheimer). The team must stop a billionaire appliances (Bill Nighy) to convert their products in an army of robots that will take place in the world, all while being pursued by an agent FBI (Will Arnett), who wants the G-Force program arrested.
As often happens with Jerry Bruckheimer productions, the story is much less important than the show and while "performing" in one of his movies usually means lots of explosions and cars flying in the air, G-Force is unique for having cute animals speaking – rather than muscle alpha males – go to idle away the fireballs. The action sequences are not particularly memorable, but they are very competent and children will certainly get a kick out of them. There is a picture of numbers of the family business that runs through the film, but there's more for parents than for others – children do not expect (or want) to learn something from a movie where a hairy creature walking through a remote control car jump over a line toy truck. Your ability to enjoy G-Force is in direct correlation with how funny you find the idea of guinea pigs as a hero of action, which means primary audience of the film (and some adults) have a fun time, but it seems very normal for parents who are more familiar with Bruckheimer formula.
