How does speed affect the quality of recording?
How much degradation of the quality I can expect a record DVD in LP (long play) recording from DVD to SP (standard play)? I'm recording a few movies that are a little more than 120 minutes and I have everything on a single DVD.
It depends on your recorder. There is no provision corresponding to bit rate "LP", etc. Check if your drive supports dual-layer discs. This will give you extra space they need. LP record 10 minutes and 10 minutes in SP and check for yourself if there is a significant degradation. I would like go with the highest quality though. If possible, using VR (recording variable rate), usually provides better quality.
