Download torrents very slow after getting new computer, please help!?
I had a Dell laptop and it took about an hour and a half download a torrent of movies. Yesterday I just bought a new Acer computer and I download 0.1 kb, that for the second! It's horrible! My internet connection is still saying limited online connectivity or local only connection. In the bottom of uTorrent said a firewall / router is limited my network traffic, now I have integrated Utorrent in my firewall and I have a router, my internet goes through the cable modem, I'm going crazy I know why because I'm the new computer, I can not download normally, if you please please please help!
I bet your cable company has its MAC address from the old computer and use as authenticator. Turn off the modem cable over a long period (overnight) and try again. Or call customer support and they want them, you have a new computer connected to the cable modem and now can not connect. Good luck!
