Issues external hard drive?
Hello, I just got a new external hard drive for my old laptop really. Mainly because I do want to buy a new computer until it crashes and I can not use the unit for the new team anyway. My question is because its very new to me, I have to know 1) if you unconnected USB hard disk of the computer, then do not miss the information put on the hard drive (no USB hub, and yet if I'll have to disconnect and reconnect connected. 2) If you disconnect power supply USB hard drive, no information is lost or if a power failure? Basically, information about my songs hard disk and movies and images. I do not care if the rest is lost, but if I lose the photos that I die, they are my girl. So how could the information from my hard drive can be erased, so we know how to avoid this scenario at all costs?
If you disconnect the USB device correctly, not lose information. You must do this by clicking the green arrow in the lower right corner of the screen while in the selection and remove the unit. Otherwise, may lose information not disconnect the power until the unit is disconnected from the computer to avoid any loss of data. Once the unit is not connected to the computer you can remove the power of computing and data should be safe. It acts as the hard drive of your computer normally, remember that when you pull a USB ripping hard drive inside your computer as well, so be sure to leave the windows you're away.
