DVD vs BlueRay – What is the difference?

For weeks, I saw in television commercials for the new movies are released on DVD and each time the poster guy says "available on DVD or BlueRay. What is the difference between them? Is it worth investing in a unit and the conversion of all aspects with this new format? I have only about 50 titles on DVD so far – but it took me 2 years to reach this point, I hate to start!

The main technical difference between Blu-Ray and DVD capabilities. Blu-Ray contain several times more data, which is necessary to provide resolution high-definition movies. The DVD offers excellent picture quality, but in a standard resolution (not HD). Blu-Ray can come in a variety of resolutions, but they are capable of output resolution HD highest currently available. For most people, is it worth? "It depends on the ownership of a high-definition television. If you have one, could be useful to make the leap. If not, spend your hard earned money in the first HDTV! Another factor to take into account competition. At present two "new generation DVD "The standards are competing for market share: Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. It may be interesting is waiting to see where we catch with the public. Nothing could be worse than making a major investment in a unit for which you can not find good movies! Personally, I bet Blu-Ray fans. I suspect that houses and much more, thanks to Sony with the PlayStation 3 technology. (Interestingly, if you decide to go with a Blu-ray player, the PlayStation 3 is actually one of the cheapest!)
