How can anyone make a movie on DVD before making known in the theaters?
Ok, I have a friend who has given 6 months ago DVD to watch at the time did not pay attention, but today I found the DVD again and it showed the movie "88 Minutes" with Al Pacino. How can this be??, The movie premiered in theaters last month, how Could I have for 6 months?? I can not ask him, for he went to Chile for 6 months. Now it's the same movie I saw and so I saw in theaters. How can this be? Just remember, gave him 6 months of DVD, which means it was 5 months before movie released in theaters.
88 minutes has been published in a handful of countries in 2007. Tristar has acquired the distribution rights of the United States by him in May 2007, but retained its launch until recently. I guess since your friend is in Chile that the film was already there or have visited another country where he was released and bought already. It could also be a pirated copy, but if not then it is likely because it was a legitimate copy published in another country.
