Why some guys are hot to convert DVD to MP4 videos?
MP4 has been released for public use in 2002. We can say that the popular Apple iPod MP4 files More than anything else. I have seen two programs to rip DVD to MP4 video format for Windows. I found a free and open source software called Handbrake will not rip copy protected DVD on a PC. I also found a program called Daniusoft DVD Ripper that converts any DVD to MP4 format for iPod, iPhone 3G, Zune HD also works well on Windows 7, and also has static shots frames of the film – a very useful function.
Hand brake
Handbrake has been using as simple as plugging my DVD player, selecting the DVD into the parking brake, and clicking a button to start the conversion process.
I used a regular DVD movie 'Ice Age' and was on the handbrake. He took a large 4 hours to rip DVD and convert it to mp4, what seemed an eternity. But when I used the Matrix Revolutions – one of my favorite action films of science fiction – and tried the hand brake even start the conversion if, complaining that the DVD is protected by copyright (that is).

Then I downloaded Daniusoft DVD Ripper which starts the movie DVD and convert DVD to MP4 video playback on iPod, iPhone 3G, Zune and other HD devices capable of displaying standard mp4 videos.
Daniusoft was able extract protected against the copy of my DVD (including Vista) much faster than the hand brake – only took about half past one to extract the DVD to the Windows (7) which is several times faster than handbrake In both cases, the same level of quality, and a video output file smaller (occupying less space on my hard drive).
I also found Daniusoft DVD Ripper additional feature – the ability to take photos at any time during the film. There is a preview window for video on the bottom left of screen, and a button that takes snapshots of the frequency and as soon as you click it, save images in a folder at a time. I really loved this feature.
I VLC player to view the resulting video and was very impressed with the quality video and sound. I was using the default settings, and would have been better if he had made the creation of conversion of the highest quality.
Also, if you need to convert a DVD to a portable device like the iPod touch, iPhone or Zune 3G HD, etc, you can select the target.
