MASH is an American television series developed by Larry Gelbart, adapted from the 1970 film MASH property (which in turn was based on the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel on three Army doctors Richard Hooker). The series is a medical drama / black comedy that was produced in partnership with 20th Century Fox Television for CBS. It follows a team of doctors and support staff assigned to the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in Uijeongbu, South Korea during the Korean War. MASH header presented an instrumental version of the song "Suicide Is Painless" which also appears in the film original. The show was created after an attempt to film after the original book, M * A * S * H goes to Maine, failed. It is known version of the series M * A * S * H works.
The series was created September 17, 1972, and ended February 28, 1983, and the final to become the most watched television episode in U.S. television history, with approximately 125 million viewers. The show is always broadcast in syndication on various television. The series, which covered a three-year military conflict, extends from 251 episodes and lasted eleven seasons.
Many of these stories in the early seasons are based on true stories told by real MASH surgeons who were interviewed by the production team. Like the movie, the series was both an allegory about the Vietnam War (even ongoing at the time of start of the show) because he was in the Korean War.
MASH broadcast every week on his original Run, CBS, with most episodes being half hours in length. The series is generally classified as a comedy, though sometimes described as a comedy "black" or a dramatic comedy "Because the dramatic subject material often presented [3]. The show was a piece together on the key personnel of the United States Army Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH, the asterisks in the name does not make sense, a device introduced in the novel) in the Korean War (1950-53). The 4077th MASH was just one of several surgical units in Korea. As shown developed, writing has become more sermons. Richard Hooker who wrote the book upon which the show (and the movie version) noted that Hawkeye was far more liberal in the program (in books, Hawkeye, in fact, refers to "kick the bejesus lefties just to stay in shape "). While the show was comedy, there were many more episodes of serious tone. The stories were the driving force plot and characters. Most the characters have been called, with dramatic tension often occurring between them and "Regular Army" characters, or between the distribution (as Sui Houlihan, Morgan Potter) or as guest artists (including Eldon Quick, Herb Voland, Mary Wickes, and Tim O'Connor).
Laugh Track
The show's creators wanted to M * A * S * H broadcast channel without laughing, but the television network, CBS, refused to allow it. Therefore, America set shown with the laugh track, but was broadcast in the UK as originally planned. The only exception to this scene were in the operating room prompting an entire episode as a whole or distributed without a laugh track in the United States.
In the UK, one episode was inadvertently distributed with the laugh track to the left, and Speaker of the BBC has apologized for "the technical problems we had," after [Ref Necessary]
Of all the DVD releases, both in the United Kingdom and the United States, there is an option to see the show with or without the laugh track.
